It was a blustery and blue late winter day on which Ally and Adam were married. The church in Hunters Hill provided a solid foundation for the beautiful ceremony. The bridal party chose to move to a more coastal location for the rest of the event, which took us to the always picturesque Watson’s Bay. The reception took place at the magnificently historic Dunbar House, Watsons Bay, whose contemporary-regency rooms gave the event a period drama film-set style ambiance, difficult for anyone to disapprove.

There are some fabulous location spots for wedding photography at Watson’s Bay and we took full advantage of many. The Macquarie Light House is one of those, which has towered over the coastline as a warning for seafarers since 1818.  As we contemplated Sydney’s oldest lighthouse, the wind threatened to ruin our plans, but as with many photography sessions a simple walk around to the lesser-used side of the building supplied calm, photographic opportunity and perfect ambiance.
